Indian passport holders can now travel to 59 countries without applying for a visa in advance, as per the Henley Passport Index July 2025. With this, India has climbed to the 77th position in the global rankings, moving up from the 85th spot.
The list includes visa-free, visa-on-arrival, and Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) options. These travel privileges make international trips more accessible for Indian citizens, reducing time and paperwork involved in securing travel permissions.
However every traveller must ensure checking individual country entry rules, as permitted duration of stay and requirements may differ.
