Travel Guides 2025 Exclusive: Jono Fren and wife Dani reveal surprise baby plans after trip to Japan

EXCLUSIVE: Looks like the Fren family may be expanding – by two!

Travel Guides star Jono Fren and wife Dani opened up about their exciting baby plans during an unseen moment from their trip to Japan, and shared a very sweet detail.

While visiting the gorgeous Nonomiya-Jinja Shrine outside of Kyoto, the Fren family came across a shrine that they believed was for manifesting “grandkids”.

“Are you pregnant yet?” Mum-in-law Cathy asked Dani.

With Dani’s response, wannabe grandparents Mark and Cathy made a cheeky wish.

“We bought a little plaque, we had to write down what we wanted and for us, grandchildren, to hang on the shrine,” Mark said.

Among that “wish list” was one adorable red-headed grandchild who would get their “good looks” not from future dad Jono, but from “granddaddy” Fren, Mark.

“We need to have at least two!” Dani jumped in. 

But that wasn’t all they wrote down.

Dani and Jono revealed they dream of having “at least two babies” who will be happy and healthy, love sports and just like their family, “must love buffets”.

After their unexpected chat, Jono and Dani realised they had some work to do.

What Dani said next however, made Jono absolutely blush.

Later taking to Instagram, Jono also shared what will be his forever “favourite moment” from the hit series.

Another unseen yet hilarious moment that had much to do with his beautiful wife Dani.

”I am sure this will be my favourite @travelguides moment forever even though it didn’t make it into the Japan episode on Sunday night 😂,” Jono began.

The moment, as you can see above, was when the Guides fished for their own dinner at Japan’s famous Zauo Restaurant.

“I didn’t think it was possible to love you any more until this moment @dani.fren21,” Jono continued.

“And in true Danielle style, your facial expressions did not disappoint. 😜

“You are going to hate me for sharing these photos with everyone but this moment was too good not to share 😁😁.”

The video shows the hilarious moment Dani reeled in the catch of the day. And as Jono said, her reaction was priceless.

“OMG!!!! 😆😩 I have no words…!” Dani responded in the comments section, to which Jono cheekily replied: “I love you!! 😁😂.”

“This is pure gold jono. Love Danielle’s expressions,” wrote one fan.

While another said: “Legit Quality Content! Please Frame these for your own place, they are Gold! 😂.” 

For the first time in Travel Guides history, Dani joined the Fren Family on their latest vacation, stepping in while sister Victoria was stuck at work.

Taking to Instagram, Dani thanked friends and viewers for the wave of support.

“Thank you for all the love & messages! ❤️ Japan was amazing,” she captioned a grid of behind-the-scenes photos.

Reflecting on her experience at the time, Dani told cameras: “I’ve been hearing about Jono’s travel stories for about six years now so it’s nice to be here to experience it first hand with everyone.”
