While the number of visa-free or visa-on-arrival destinations available to Indian passport holders now stands at 59, this is still a strong move up the index, especially after dropping five places last year.

With 59 visa-free or VOA destinations, India ranks 77th, ahead of countries like China in terms of recent momentum. China, for instance, has risen from 94th in 2015 to 60th, although it still lacks visa-free access to Europe’s Schengen Area.
